What is the
OC Summer
Library Tour?
The OC (Original Character) Summer Library Tour is a new series of free comic workshops we're producing in partnership with Chicago Public Libraries because we want to do our part in making high quality arts education accessible to youth all over Chicago.
We've created a brand new, hands-on digital art workshop to walk you through the process of inventing and designing your own comic book character. First, learn how to craft a compelling backstory, motivation and personality for your character. Then learn how to bring them to life with visuals that connect to their story! Leave with everything you need to start making your own comic stories!

All you need to bring is your imagination. We'll provide the rest!

We created the OC Summer Library Tour because we believe that high quality arts education should be accessible to everybody.
We also believe that aspiring artists should have the same level of infrastructure as aspiring athletes, which is why we built OC Academy.
